Myofascial Cupping

Myofascial cupping is a therapeutic technique that uses specialised suction cups to gently lift the skin and underlying tissues. As a certified massage therapist, I use this method to help reduce muscular tension, improve circulation, and support the natural mobility of the fascia—the connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles throughout the body. By creating negative pressure rather than compressing the tissues, cupping can assist in releasing restrictions and encouraging healthy movement within the soft tissues.

Cups may be applied statically or moved across the skin to target areas of tightness, helping to promote circulation, ease muscular stiffness, and support recovery.

Myofascial cupping can be beneficial for a variety of concerns, including muscle tightness, restricted movement, postural strain, and general physical fatigue. It can also complement massage therapy by addressing fascial restrictions that may contribute to discomfort or limited mobility. The overall aim is to help restore tissue balance, encourage relaxation, and improve how the body moves and feels.
